As always, thanks Todd!
Rittich... hmmm... any concerns yet?
I'm hoping they re-sign Hamonic to a long term deal! He's not flashy but is solid (most nights) on the back end!

We need some wins!

No concern on Rittich from me. Just a rough patch during the long season. Just need to grind through it and get some wins.

Every goalie has had it in his head for 2 years now, gaudreau breakaway = five hole. He slipped one past Lundqvist the other day, but he misses or is saved 9/10. Makes me think Johnny's hockey IQ isn't as high as a lot of people give him credit for. He probably averages a breakaway every 2 games. Rarely, very rarely does he score.

How many teams average a breakaway every other game? I would say JG's Hockey IQ has something to do with that. That guy gets passes through areas that a puck shouldn't fit. The problem is there is 5 and half years worth of game tape on him for teams to plan against plus 5 and half years worth of playing hockey at the highest level possible while being the size that is usually the same as most guys when they are playing in middle/high school.

Yes Johnny G needs some new break away moves, or confidence.. one of the two. More importantly can the someone tell ALL Flames players to quit passing to the middle of the ice? Especially lazy floaters, or no-lookers! F*CK me, no wonder we are a streaky team... that is not winning hockey.

Mangiapani has looked pretty ordinary since his bust out 3 pt game, time to change things up. I see Ward swapped Sammy in for him but if it’s just a period or 2 hard to build any chemistry, would love to see Bennett get a longer look playing with Chucky. My preferred choice though would be to try Dube there for a while, not sure Sam has the iq to play there.

What happened to OG? Thought he contributed some good conversation to this forum. There’s a few guys missing that were regular posters.

Stone isn’t the best defenceman, but he has a heavy shot and does score goals. In fact we got goals from 3 of our d last night, just like the good ole days.

Hopefully Janko and a 3rd would get that deal done but not sure what Jankos value is.
I never thought we could dump Froliks 4.3 and get a 4th either!

I think the max I would give for Tofolli is a 2nd & one of our prospects from Stockton like Ruzicka. Tops. Ideally, I would rather trade them pending RFA Jankowski & one of our 4th rounders plus maybe a conditional pick if we resign Tofolli.

I can see LA being interested in a Jankowski. I wouldnt have a problem seeing Treliving make a deal like that. But our 1st rounder is off limits, especially for any rental.

I just think out of all the potential targets, Toffoli checks more boxes than the others, plus is more likely to sign an extension.

Gadwin plays center, Dube plays center, Phillips plays center, this year any of those 3 could replace Jankowski.

Toffoli just for the sake he’s a right handed shot. He could be acquired a lot cheaper than the other options. If they’re lucking for term and want to splurge a bit go after Palmeieri or Zucker.

Might get Palmeri but can’t see the Wild dumping Zucker while tthey’re still in the hunt.

His breakaways to me are whatever. His unwillingness to even lean on another player. his unwillingness to in any zone go after a loose puck if it is going to be a close race getting to it. Basically his absolutely non physical game a lot of times cost the team turnovers to me that is more frustrating then if he only goes on a backhand on a breakaway.

Johnny Gaudreau is never going to be a physical player. He's too small. He's a point a game player (not this year) who's quicker than anybody else of the ice on most nights. He's actually pretty good a backchecking though.

Flurry ,St. Louis, Mangiapane,Camalari, Johnson. We can all name guys that aren’t very big and physical, but those guys at least had some jam to them. And just didn’t wimp out. It I league wide that if you’re going into the corner with gaudreau all you have to say is boo and he will curls away.he is a Phenomenal player I just wish he would get some muscle on him.

Johnny looks terrible most nights- stupid passes, lazy backchecking, I agree that he doesnt have a very high hockey IQ. Can we all take some time to appreciate Derek Ryan though... that guy has been clutch all year
